Teachers' Council

There is an active and robust Teachers' Council in the college represented by the substantive teachers. Elections to the post of the Secretary, Teachers' Council are held every year.

The Council makes substantial contributions to the development of the academic culture, as well as other activities of the institution.

Some of the key functions of the Council are given below:

• Recommendations to the various sub-committees
• Deliberations on the academic affairs of the institution and suggesting remedial measures and recommendations for innovations and improvements.
• Organising funds for the extension activities and welfare measures of the institution.

Dr. Chandan Sarkar, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, presently holds the position of TCS.
